Scrapbook Page Layouts

Happy For Sno

This simple scrapbook page features a color blocking layout and is embellished with stamped snowflakes to match the colors in the layout. Although not traditionally colors for winter layouts, I chose them because of their strong masculine feel that complimented the photo of my son, Brandon.

Maui Book

The cover of a 6x6 one sheet wonder scrapbook album that I made for my mother-in-law when we were visiting her in Maui. After stamping the very vanilla and old olive cardstock on both sides, I simply cut the sheets in half. I used one of each strip folded in half as my pages. Then, I cut the 2 remaining strips in two and adhered them to the pages before assembling them.

Maui Book 2

A simple display of the inside of the Maui one-sheet-wonder book, displaying a beautiful sunset that was on the beach near Kihea. I love how the colors from the album brings out those in the sky.

July 4, 2003

This is one of my favorite photos of my son who was 5 months old. We had spent the week of the 4th of July at a small resort in Winter, Wisconsin. The day of the local parade, I captured this awesome shot while my friend Missy was holding him.

I created the left border with with the stars using VersaMark and embossing with white powder. The red cardstock was also embossed with white using the Simple Stripe background stamp. The red and blue stripe on the white cardstock was achieved by coloring the stamp with Real Red and Night of Navy markers.

Brandon 2004

An awesome photo of my son taken at Flash Photography. I created this layout for my dad for his birthday, complete with frame. After inking the real red cardstock with basic black ink, I overlaid it with torn vellum and a strip of eyelash fibers.

To make the red airplane embellishment, I cut it from red tin.
